Responsibilities
- Conduct activities aimed at identifying, assessing, and reviewing AML/CFT/CPF risks of reporting entities
- Carry out risk-based supervision of reporting entities through off-site monitoring and/or on-site inspections to assess compliance with AML/CFT legislation, and prepare reports based on the results of supervision
- Develop and review the risk-based supervision manual and other required documents
- Initiate measures to apply sanctions or other liability mechanisms to reporting entities in case violations are identified
- Participate in the preparation of the National AML/CFT/CPF Risk Assessment, coordinate related activities with competent authorities, conduct analyses, and prepare risk assessment reports
- Perform strategic (thematic) analyses based on AML/CFT/CPF high-risk criteria, common AML/CFT/CPF cases (methods and schemes), and trend data
- Contribute to the development of the National AML/CFT/CPF Strategy, monitor implementation of the Strategy Action Plan, and prepare monitoring reports
- Conduct awareness-raising activities for reporting entities regarding AML/CFT requirements
Required Qualifications
- Higher education in economics, management, or law
- At least 1 year of professional experience, preferably including
- 6 months in international organizations, public administration, or the private sector in risk assessment, research, analytical work, or supervisory functions; and
- 6 months in the AML/CFT/CPF field
- Knowledge of international AML/CFT/CPF standards and domestic legislation
- Knowledge of national AML/CFT/CPF strategies
- Understanding of international and national AML/CFT typologies and trends
- Knowledge of legislation regulating reporting entities
- General theoretical knowledge of economics, accounting, and statistics
- Excellent Armenian; good command of English and Russian
