Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule all technical training programs (classroom, laboratory, simulation, on-the-job, and OEM-supported) for operators, technicians, supervisors, and metallurgical staff
- Support Training Specialists in the development and continuous improvement of training modules, lesson plans, assessment tools, and competency standards
- Manage training calendars, venues, trainers (internal, university lecturers, OEM), and resources to ensure high-quality delivery with minimal disruption to plant operations
- Maintain and manage the site-wide training matrix, individual development plans, competency assessments, and certification records
- Conduct training needs analyses and skills gap assessments in collaboration with Training Specialists.
- Ensure accurate, auditable training documentation for ICMC compliance, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards
- Onboarding, Localization & Succession Support
- Lead the design and delivery of structured onboarding and induction programs for new employees
- Track and report on localization progress and workforce competency development
- Support succession planning by coordinating bridging programs between academic qualifications and site-specific operational requirements
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional qualification in any relevant field (Technical Education, Administration, Engineering, or related discipline)
- Experience as a lecturer, professor, or training administrator at a technical college or engineering university is highly regarded
- Minimum 4–7 years in technical training coordination, curriculum development, program administration, or adult education
- Experience as a lecturer, professor, department administrator, or training coordinator at a technical college or engineering university is highly regarded
- Experience as an artisan/tradesperson (e.g., mechanical, electrical, process operator) who has moved into training coordination or instructional roles is also strongly valued
- Demonstrated understanding of in-country HSE requirements and legislative requirements for electrical and mechanical systems
