- Provide counselling, instruction, and mentoring for those struggling with social, emotional, and behavioural problems - Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing communication and social skills, problem-solving, anger management, self-regulation, self-determination, and optimism Work With Students and Their Families to: - Identify and address learning and behaviour problems that interfere with school success - Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural health Work with teachers to: - Identify and resolve academic barriers to learning - Design and implement student progress monitoring systems - Motivate all students to engage in learning

- University degree in Psychology - Ability to understand procedures and function in a school system with regard to the special education play in the overall education of the student - Prior experience in public school is desirable - Ability to work cooperatively with students and their parents, district staff, and community members who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse - Ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff verbally and in writing - Knowledge of English (B2)
