- Set vision for tribe together with the Tribe Lead and potentially other leaders, develop IT delivery for business plans and ensure vision is operationalized by POs and IT CLs of each squad - Define and enforce quality standards (non-functional requirements) - Interact with CoEs (e.g., IT Architects) to understand the key properties and changes to technology infrastructure and determine the best way to work with technology restrictions - Shape the tribe backlog: define and prioritize IT-related epics and subtasks for the tribe - Synchronize IT developments with Product Owners in squads - Set goals during release planning - Design and maintain the IT development and system maintenance roadmap

- Willingness to "roll up one's sleeves," work outside of one's comfort zone and motivate the tribe toward such behavior - Leader and facilitator – not shying away from decision making, seeks to align organization on complex technical decisions - Demonstrates passion for creating a learning organization, skilled and comfortable in giving and receiving feedback - Has strong communication skills and leadership qualities, demonstrates strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize, ability to persuade and lead diverse people - Has strong analytical skills and fact-based decision-making
