Data Engineer

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from multiple internal and external sources - Integrate data from operational systems, APIs, files, and third-party platforms into the data warehouse or data lake - Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost - Design and implement data models (star/snowflake schemas, normalized models) for analytics and reporting - Implement data validation, data quality checks, and monitoring to ensure accuracy and completeness - Support data governance policies and data management (data cataloging, metadata management, and documentation of datasets and metrics) - Tune SQL queries and data models for performance - Implement logging, alerting, and monitoring for pipelines and data services - Troubleshoot data issues and provide root-cause analysis - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions - Stay up to date with modern data engineering tools and practices and suggest improvements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) - 3+ years of experience in a data engineering or similar role - Strong SQL skills - Proficiency in at least one programming language for data engineering (preferably Node.js, Python) - Experience building ETL/ELT workflows - Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and/or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication skills - Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and reliability
