Responsibilities
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code - Design, build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code - Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application - Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs - Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Required Qualifications
- Strong programming and object-oriented design skills - Extensive knowledge of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and modern development tools (Android Studio) - Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices - Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications - Familiarity with continuous integration - Spoken English Nice to have - Working knowledge of Kotlin - Familiarity with the following technologies: Dagger, MVVM, Espresso (for UI testing), Gitlab CI, Retrofit - Clean code - An understanding and some experience of Agile software development - Experience working in a continuous delivery environment - Knowledge of Git - Successfully published Android applications (Android Market) - Experience working on published Google Play store apps - Knowledge of iOS or backend Java development will be an asset

Additional Information
Our client is a medium size pharma company from Germany. They decided to create a mobile application, a digital therapy companion for patients suffering from urinary incontinence. This is designed to monitor therapy progress, alleviate symptoms associated with an overactive bladder, promote behavioral awareness, improve motivation, and increase the quality of life. The solution will be certified as Software as a Medical Device and doctors will be able to formally prescribe it to their patients, which is why the quality of the solution will be one of the priorities. On the backend there is a need for an API for mobile clients, to integrate it with the insurance hub and ensure compliance with GDPR and some other data security and data protection requirements. The project team consists of 5-7 people. Technology Stack Java, Kotlin, Android SDK.
