Responsibilities
As the TR you will: - Assess and provide recommendations/solutions on operational improvement across the Talent Acquisition function, harnessing data, insights and technology at every stage - Actively engaged with the Tech community and network of talent not only for short term hiring needs but also build a pipeline for longer term company growth - Research talent pools and source hard-to-find skills - Attend outreach events (virtually) such as meetup groups, networking and community events, etc. to enhance Questrade’s talent brand in the technical space - Stay updated on market hiring trends and technologies and share knowledge and expertise of technical recruitment practices with the talent acquisition team - Create documentation on screening guidelines, interview questions and candidate assessments metrics - Act as a Questrade cultural ambassador - Maintain tracking and/or reporting of technical talent acquisition activities - Maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on all candidates, including pre screen and interview notes, debriefs and candidate correspondence - Promote best practices, share ideas and information to ensure consistency with Questrade’s Talent Acquisition Process - Full-cycle recruitment for technical roles, (Intake session through to offer stage and onboarding), this also includes: - Maintaining a pipeline of talented active and passive individuals. - Researching talent pools and source hard-to-find skills - Provide shortlisted candidate recommendations and summaries to hiring teams - Participating in interviews, when required - Work closely with the People & Culture function on various projects, as required - Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

You are if… - You have a college diploma or university degree in the field of Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, and/or equivalent experience in the role, specializing in areas of Recruitment. - You have 2+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment - You have experience sourcing, attending outreach events, and creating assessment methods in the fintech industry - You have an ability to provide creative solutions and recommendations (think outside the box) - You have strong communications skills with ability to build relationships both internally and externally - You have knowledge of best practices relating to employer branding and the candidate experience - You have continuous learner, eager to research, absorb and share best practices - You have experience working with recruitment technology, including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and LinkedIn - You have exceptional interpersonal skills, and able to deal with staff and managers throughout the company in a professional manner - You have excellent problem solving skills and takes initiative to provide creative solutions - You have strong attention to detail - You have proven analytical and problem-solving abilities - You are team-oriented and skilled at working within a collaborative environment
